American Legion Post 522 Family Scholarship

Scholarship Fund Amount: $1,000.00
Eligibility: This scholarship is open to all graduating seniors or current college students who:
- Have maintained a GPA of 2.5 throughout high school or college
- Are enrolled or will enroll in post-secondary education within the year immediately following high school graduation; 2- and 4-year colleges, technical colleges and trade schools are all acceptable
- Have demonstrated a history of community involvement through extra-curricular activities, community groups, faith-based groups, or similar community programs
- Are related to a Post 522 member in good standing; qualified relatives include siblings, parents, grandparents, aunts, or uncles
Walter Skipper Memorial Scholarship
Application Deadline: March 10, 2023
Scholarship Amount: $2,000.00
Eligibility: This scholarship is open to all graduating seniors of Hartford Union High School (HUHS) or alternative schools within the boundaries of HUHS (private or home schools, etc.) who:
- Have maintained a GPA of 2.5 throughout high school
- Will enroll in post-secondary education within the year immediately following high school graduation
- 2-year colleges, 4-year colleges, technical colleges and trade schools are all accepted
- Have demonstrated a history of community involvement through extra-curricular activities, community groups, faith-based groups, or similar community programs
- Provide proof that a relative has honorably served or is serving in the US Armed Forces
- Qualified relatives include siblings, parents, grandparents, aunts, or uncles
