American Legion Post 522 Youth Grant Program
American Legion Post 522 Hubertus WI. has established the Youth Grant Program to encourage and mentor the next generation into becoming responsible citizens and to reward those who have demonstrated a continued sense of service to our Post and our community. Grant funds are available to youth related to a Post 522 Member and to the youth of our partner civic organizations: Hubertus Boy Scouts Troop 139 and 165 and West Bend Civil Air Patrol Squadron.
Eligibility: To be eligible for a grant, a candidate must meet the following qualifications:
- Affiliation:
a. Be a child or grandchild of a current member of Post 522 (Legion, Aux, SAL).
b. Be an active member of Hubertus Boy Scout Troop 139 or 165.
c. Be an active member of the West Bend Civil Air Patrol Squadron. - Be between age 10 and 20 years old at the time of the grant request.
- Have served or supported Post 522 at fundraisers, community events, or other activities within the past 12-months, or have demonstrated a history of community service in keeping with the values of The American Legion.
- Have maintained good academic standing, whether in high school or post-secondary education.
