Post 522 Commander’s Message:
With summer rapidly approaching and with the virus in our rear view mirror, things are heating up at Post 522. Make sure that you join us for our fun-filled family events.
Post 522 has really become a hot spot for the Hubertus community. We have strengthened our ties in the community. When you stop in, do not be shocked that your neighbors are already here.
I look forward to seeing you at the post. Without you we are just an empty building. With you we are a thriving American Legion Post with a unified community.
Thank you for all of your support.
Your friend and neighbor, Joe Leone

RE: Events, we had 3 visitors who spoke to us and generously offered their services as Post resources.
Tim Yauck (member) and his father-in-law Stan Larson (Sr Vice Cmdr Menomonee Falls VFW) have offered to do a professional presentation at our Post to tell the story of Carl Kellner of Sheboygan who was killed in a tank battle in Cologne, Germany in 1945. Tim’s research showed that very few people or Wisconsin knew of this Silver Star recipient. He is intent on telling the story so that Lt Kellner and others are no longer forgotten. Post5 522 will host this presentation in November this year.
Cheryl McShane (wife of SAL member John McShane) is a professional and fantastically successful event planner and spoke to us about a “Food Truck Event”. She is willing to arrange and co-ordinate a large group of food trucks at Post 522 as a fundraiser event. She suggested that the Post should be having another event going on at same time, which the food trucks would compliment. Great potential for a significant, marketable family event. Executive Board will be working on another activity to pair it up.
